May Element A Day: Week 2

This designer challenge will run the entire month of May. The goal is to make an element a day. If you don't have time everyday to participate, that's okay; there will be wiggle room to play catch up. Everyday there will be a new theme for you to use, although some themes might repeat at some point. Before we start you can give some thought to what color palette you would like to use and what you'd like to do with your finished product, which should be 31 elements. (Here's a link to my pinterest board for color palettes.)

In this thread you may post:

  1. Questions and comments on completing each element.
  2. Finished elements and/or templates. You may of course post small thumbnail images if you are saving the finished product for something.
  3. I'll post a new thread each week so that things don't get too out of hand.
  4. Don't worry if you're behind or starting in the middle, feel free to share whatever you make.

Hi. I have a question. For Day 10 are we supposed to create a metal texture or just a metallic element?

This is my first time designing anything. I'm not sure if I did it correctly but I had a lot of fun anyway!

I hope it's okay to post my day2 flowers here. I'm having so much fun doing this challenge, and learning so much!

Trying to get caught back up. How did I fall so far behind?! Ribbon and tag for you today.

Love that lacy design Harriet!

Thanks, Chickie. There must be an easier way but I enjoyed the trial and error learning process.

Here are my corners for the 8th:

Wow, I'm loving all these photo corners! Here is mine:

@Renee: You can interpret the prompts however you'd like, although I guess since this is an element challenge maybe there should be an element at some point.

Here's my border for today:

And my metal for tomorrow:

@Sheila: really LOVE your borders!

All look great!
I'm gonna make mine today at my day off

I was getting behind! I think I have caught up now:)

Oops! I've only been doing this stuff for a month or so, and I'm going in blind (never scrapbooked anything before) so excuse my nonsense.

By the way, I am working on this challenge. It's going to be overdosed in pink (in honor of breast cancer awareness). I'm just running behind a bit.

@Renee, I think you had a good question, no nonsense to it:) We are all here to learn and encourage each other in our creativity. I was kinda wondering the same thing myself:) Just take your time, and have fun doing it. Can't wait to see what you come up with:)

@Saskia, Thanks so much for the compliment, that means a lot to me coming from one of my favorite designers:)

So awesome...I'm wowed and slightly jealous of all that talent!

Here are my elements for week 2:

They will be part of my new kit Starry Summer Nights (blogtrain of STS)

A little out of order, but here are my metal pieces:

I'm Loving all the inspiration going on here. Love the metal flowers Marisa. I am a little behind but will be caught up by weekend.

OMG, fantastic additions ladies! I wont say "I like this, I love this" this time, because there are bunches of cool elements, so I´d be so repetitive.

I still can catch up, IMO, so, even haven´t started yet, wait for me, lol.

Here are my borders for the 9th. I made the button border from last weeks button element and the banner border from my gingham paper pack from April.
