I have seen a lot of ampersands in scrapbooking kits, even where there is no other text in the kit that could be used with the ampersand. I am curious... why ampersands and what to do with them?
What a good question, Madge. Maybe others will come along and add their thoughts and ideas on what can be done with them... all I can think of is to place it between two photos to indicate that they go together, like a married couple, or a dog with her puppies, or something like that.
Rose, that makes sense. I had not thought of using it that way. I was kinda surprised to see it in the digital kits since I had never used ampersands in paper and glue scrapping unless it was with alphas for a title.
Maybe someone will be inspired by those pages you shared and decide to incorporate some ampersands in a future kit or blog train offering. If so, I now know what they are there for!
I always saw them as the font version of the musical Clef.... A thing of beauty. Yes they have the added practicality of meaning "and". Fun question Madge!
Another one I love that I rarely see is the @ symbol. My hubby started using it on our personal family website as part of our last name, @dkerson many many moons ago, and I fell in love with the idea.... Just have to be careful not to sign my checks that way. LoL
They are basically like a heart or a star, just fun decoration.
Thanks, Marisa... I was just wondering if I had missed something!

I've also seen it used as a filler in clusters! Looks really cute if done correctly!
I did a search for ampersand in the gallery and it brought up 5 page layouts; have a look.
Interesting, Rose... I had not even imagined a background of ampersands. So, I have learned something new today. Thanks!
Hi, LilyAnn. Thanks for sharing this. I will have to keep my eyes open and see if I can find ampersands in more places!
I know, right? And its pretty, huh? That's my fave of the five.

I thought the same thing, so have been given some new ideas
