Do you use pocket cards on a regular basis?

Just wondering how many regular pocket card users we have out there. If you do use them regularly, let me know what kinds you like best, blank with room for journaling or decorative.

I love them for my weekly pages. I use the decorative, filler ones most. I never seem to like the blank/writable ones much. I don't like the ones with lines on them much as digital text doesn't seem to fill them well without a lot of tinkering. I really like the ones with a frame for a photo! Those are handy!

I've done a project life 52 and am thinking about doing it again, so yes I use pocket cards. As far as which, for project life layouts it's about 50/50. But for regular layouts I do frequently use pocket cards for journaling.

I do! All the time! And, I agree with Erin on the ones with lines, in theory the seem nice, but text placement on them gets tricky.

I mostly use them on themed pages. Generic cards are nice, but I tend to use the ones that are more specific, like for holidays, birthdays, travel, etc.

I have just started using them, mostly themed filler cards or journal cards with a quote above it - I like text on mine!

I really want to use them more often, there are so many lovely ones out there, and so much you can do with them.

i have been doing a 1 or 2-page spread on a weekly basis ... with decorative cards for filler AND journaling cards to recount the week's details. smiley interspersed with traditional 12x12 layouts (usually 1 large photo) for the pictures that I feel deserve a special page smiley

I don't do pocket style pages but I still use the cards for both my paper and digital scrapbook pages. The decorative cards I often tuck into my clusters, simpler cards sometimes get tucked under the edges of photos. As for journal cards with lines or ledgers, unless I am printing them it isn't worth trying to use them for journaling, however, I still find use for them.

That's pretty much all I use anymore. Pocket style is so fast, I love it! I use both pretty much equally. I will say on the journaling cards, I do wish there was no lines. Cute border or element and space to journal, just without any lines.

I'm a newbie to scrapbooking and really like the pocket style because it makes it so much easier for me! Agreed with Kimberly above - I like the journaling cards where there are no lines. Makes it super quick for me to just pop in my own text smiley

I like both, but versatile journaling cards are really useful for regular pages AND pocket pages, so I use those most. smiley

Actually I use a combo of both... where it can be decorative or like a poem or saying... and then the journaling ones to tell the whole story. smiley
... and like someone above mentioned... I, too like them without the lines so I can either write freehand if I pre-print or if I use a font for typing it...

I only do Project life anymore, not regular scrapbooking. I like a combo of both journal cards and filler cards. Sometimes the filler cards I even use on cards, usually with some added embellishment. Like others have said, I prefer the journal cards to not have lines.

That's one of my goals...to try using pocket cards...right now, I have never used them.

I'm more of a journaling person.

Been using them increasingly, I started out using them as mats for pics or journaling, use them on pl pages a lot, including on physical pl, but I am not using many cards, I tend to favor photos over cards for the pl sleeves. Might have to do with the layout of the sleeves, I am using 6x8 and will look into 8,5x11 for the next binder (The look of the physical pl page -barking up the wrong tree I am aware smiley - would so improve by adding a border option in the app. ) As for journaling cards and their lines.... I rather not have them or as an editable layer, and instead I use a line brush. Maybe a line png instead of the flat lines on jc's is an option.

I use the cards with lines or cards with borders the most because I use them to journal my life. I like to write short bursts of thought on them.

I mostly use the journalling cards but have used the decorative ones too.

BTW I just put up the brushes to share here. Really just the lines for journaling on 6x4 and 3x4. I use these all the time.

most of the time...nope

I agree with the others about no lines. smiley

Message received about the no lines! I hadn't considered that. Thanks for mentioning it!
