Resizing from Tagger to Full Size

I've seen some really cute tagger sized kits out there and I'm wondering if there is an easy way to resize the elements to use as full size kits and still have good quality elements. I like to print out my pages so tagger size doesn't work for me, but they are so stinking cute!

*sigh* Unfortunately, no...that would require sizing up, which would mean elements getting blurry. Sizing down isn't usually an issue, but sizing up more than 5-10% almost always means the quality suffers.

My best recommendation is to use the tagger size elements to create things like journal cards or brag book pages--they're designed for layouts at approximately that resolution. If you want to get them into a full-size layout, there's a layout in my gallery where I used some Easter brag book pages as cards to create a 12x12 layout.

I'd agree with Holly. While it's always easy to resize to a smaller size, resizing to a larger size isn't something that's possible.

Full size kits are generally much much larger, and also saved at 300 dpi. Tagger sized kits are generally around 800 pixels and are only available at 72 dpi.

Dang! At least I was smart enough to ask before I spent the time trying to figure it out. Thanks for all your help ladies!

Hey, tagger elements are great if you don't plan on printing albums. The majority of my personal scrapbook is done in 1920x1080, to be used primarily as desktop wallpapers. For that, it doesn't matter if the element came from a tagger or full-size kit, except in how much I need to scale it down! And Facebook uploads are actually usable as photos in that scale, too.

If I do choose to print them, it's a cheap album to print, too--I just scale to 6" wide and punch the unprinted long edge to fit in a 4x6 index card binder. I can mix and match those layouts with 4x6 journal cards and brag book pages, too, if I feel a story needs more room to tell. And, when my sweetie and I finally get the whole immigration thing sorted out so we can stop living on opposite sides of the Atlantic, they won't cost a fortune to ship over.

So don't discount tagger size completely--they ARE still usable. Just don't use tagger elements for things you want to print full-size!

I'm on CT teams that do both tagger & full size kits...it doesn't matter to me what size they are because I use them for the same thing lol...generally I create tutorials for making signature tags, which can range between 500 & 700 px. I keep mine at 600 px.

It's amazing how many uses one can have for a digital scrap kit...you can either use them as one would in traditional scrapbooking, but also there's people who just love art & use them with tubes (png digital art)...

While both are correct you do lose quality when resizing up.
Photoshop does resample images. One thing you can try is to change the resolution first. Change to something larger than what you want. What Photoshop does is resample the image and fills in the missing pixels. If the images do not have a lot of contrast it may not look bad, but remember that the pixels are filled in and one does not know where Photoshop gets the information it is using. Once the resulution is changed go back and change the image size to what you want and reduce the resolution. What this does is resample the image and reduce the image and may even reduce the lose of quality. This has worked for photos that are small and allowed for it larger image. With the use of filters I have been able to get a better picture. But the time spent may not be worth the time for elements.

Here are some tutorial on how to resize in Potoshop and PSE with information about resizing. Try one and see if it is worth your time as there is so much out there that is not tagger where you do not have to spend so much time.

Hi there.
You can try PhotoZoom.
This is a great program that will enlarge images backgrounds and the quality is awesome.
Just google it.
Hope this does help.
