tattoo inspired layout...

Hello! I am getting a tattoo (first and most likely only!) for my birthday sometime in the next month or so. it will be simple infinity symbol with my sons name on one side and three hearts on the other Similar to the image below...

and I am looking for some ideas to scrap it. You can look at my gallery I tend towards minimalism with a love for the paint splatter effect smiley but am totally willing to branch out and try new styles (trust me when i say getting a tattoo is "branching out" for me!!!
has anyone scrapped a tattoo before? should i see if i can get the artist to take before and after pics?

am i just putting way too much thought into this?

thanks for your thoughts

I was curious about tattoos, so I looked through the gallery and we actually have a few tattoo layouts tagged, including my own!

awesome, thanks!

I don´t have any tatoos, you know? But since yours is a black and very minimalist one, I´d follow this on the layout! Don´t forget to come back here and link your pretty creation smiley

Even if you don't scrap all the pictures take someone along that can take pictures of the whole process, not just the work being done but you, your facial expressions, the artist while they work if they will let you, everything.

Love the design, I've never scrapped pics of my tattoos before. Might get someone to take some tidy photo's and have a go, not sure how I would work photo's in though have over 10 tattoos smiley

thanks ladies! an Sarah I would love to see your tattoos on LO smiley if for no other reason then to inspire me to scrap !

I know it's not completely related to your tattoo, but I think a black and white page would be cool with a colorful tattoo. So with your tattoo, why not use your favorite color as a background, or something that ties you and your son. Use your inspiration photo, and maybe two actual photos (say sitting in the chair, getting tattooed and the finished healed result). You can have a friend or significant other, go with you, to take the photos.

I plan to do a before/after layout on my tattoos. I want to do a cover-up on one and a touchup/add on, on the other. I've always wanted to scrap them, but never sat down to do it.

Scrap them, because some tattoos don't last well into the elder years!

I think with a black tattoo I'd use colour in the background to really show your tattoo off. When I've scrapped black & white photos I've done this and it really makes the photo stand out. I'd love to see your finished page.

i like the idea of using a couple of colors to "pop" the tattoo...now i just need an appointment to get the tattoo so i can get on with the important part..ya know...scrappin' it!! smiley
