Border Overlays for Pocket Page Templates

Marisa and Violet have great pocket templates smiley in the store.

I would love smiley to see a white border layer for the existing templates adding a white border to each pic, each on a single layer, allowing for layer (in)visibility, according to the use of the pocket, as journal, filler or pic pocket layer.

Hm... I'm not quite sure what you mean. smiley At first I thought you meant the clear plastic-y pockets that some designers have but now I'm not so sure. A white border around the outside of each layers?

Yes, Kayl smiley smiley

You do mean those plastic-y looking things? smiley I was going to try my hand at making some 12x12 random clear pocket type pages with stitching soon so I figured I'd ask smiley I don't plan to base them off of other pages but maybe you'd still be interested?

It sounds like what she means is Marisa's pocket layouts, but with each space/card slot layer having an associated inner stroke layer added to it, as a separate layer... the reason they likely don't have that is space, as adding that, especially as separate layers, would add to the file sizes on each template, and therefore to download bandwidth for the site.

Bina, if I've correctly described what you want, and you use Photoshop, you can simply apply a stroke in the layer styles, setting it to whatever color and width you wish to standardize your photos with, and if you choose to use that space for a pocket card instead, just click the eye in front of the word Stroke to hide just that portion of the layer effects and still keep the drop shadows. I'd suggest saving a layer style preset with your preferred shadow and the stroke so that you can easily apply it to layers on all your templates.

smiley Thank you , Holly. Yes, that is how I do it (stroking and then copying layer styles) working around it... and since I have been whitebordering a lot of my pics, many templates have been adjusted that way already.... but I'd prefer something else... Bandwidth, yeah, I get it. Thank you. smiley . By now (after 6 month smiley ) I have ended up making one big template file - for all pocket options in 12x12 and 8,5x11 that has each layer with and without borders- just by adding layers each time I made a pocket style page. So I am good by now. But thank you.
