lizards and such

Hi ladies. I have been on the prowl for all kinds of lizards in the scrap world and the offerings are thin. There are such beautiful patterns and colors in the reptile world and I have a fondness for them smiley I would love to see a template or 2 that I can use to create lots of different designs and colors .......but I would love anything that you would like to design for me smiley Thanks !! (stamps would be nice too)

Sherry, check the March blog train for France Stewart's part. I know she did some really cute lizard pieces and papers for it. I think there were also some reptiles that snuck their way into the August "A Bug's World" blog train.

I agree that the offerings are pretty thin--it seems most people don't want to scrap about things they don't like, and far too many women (like my mother) think snakes, lizards, bugs, and toads should all be outside and kept a minimum of a hundred miles from them.

If you're looking to make patterned papers, I'd suggest trying to make a mesh that you can overlay on a stripe or chevron pattern to give a scale appearance. It'd probably be especially effective with a dark outer glow effect and drop shadow applied to that overlay so the scales would get a bit of a 3D look. I'd offer more help, but I'm still digging out from being sick.

Thank you so much for your reply.
There was alot of great BUG stuff in the March Blog Train and I love that everyone designed awesome goodies for us when they were not too keen on the subject matter. I am not very creative in the designing area but I will give your paper suggestions a try. Thanks again for the suggestions and please remember me if you come across anything like templates in your travels through digi land. smiley
