messianic jewish hoidays

There are plenty of kits and items for passover or hannukah but not much for the rest of the Jewish holidays.

Tammy ... what are the other Jewish holidays ... educate us ... we may be able to find things for you smiley

there are seven biblical feasts. I started typing it in, but to make it easier here is a link to Hebriew for christians that gives an overview:

http://www.hebrew4christians.com/Holidays/Introduction/introduction.html

If you can supply some more details, I don't think we have any designers who are Jewish, so no one has a personal experience with any of these holidays. If you can make a list of important elements or words, especially if this gets more votes, then that will help the designers get started.

I would be interested in a kit or kits with some of these holidays.
Sharon

i will get together a list.

Thanks for the link Tammy ... I'm going to go check it out later tonight smiley

I too would benefit from this kit idea, thank you Tammy!

for Shabbat. It is Friday sundown to Saturday sundown. words: Rest challah bread; fellowship, worship, dinner, candle lighting, wine, shabbat shalom, : שַׁבָּת‎, 3 And God blessed the seventh day, and hallowed it; because that in it He rested from all His work which God in creating had made. gen 2:3, Torah, Ex 20:7 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

I'm collecting kits to use for the Jewish community at Mount Holyoke College so I would be very happy with more of the holidays represented.... sadly I know very little about the Jewish religion so I can't help on that front but I would be interested in kits representing the other various holidays

It's a fantastic idea!!!
I'm working on a series of themes (Purim, Shabat, Shavuot).
Hope to get enough points to upload them when ready smiley

oh ducky I can't wait

Agreed, I'd love some more as well. I need to just get by myself, and force some CREATIVITY TIME!

Tammy got some of the basics, and pointed to a website I've used for years!

My father is a "completed" Jew, and now a retired minister, it's in our family. I've been working on some Hebrew Fonts, but unfortunately they are near ready yet. I've just learned out how to assign them to the unicode glyphs, but can't figure out how to assign the vowels in unicode yet.
