colors and shadows

I know how to change colors... and I know how to use clipped masks BUT how do I use digital scrap paper on let's say a bow or button and show that its got shadows and depth...

Place the paper on the layer below the object, such as the button. Create a Clipping Mask. The paper should become the button or object. Now shadow it. Use a style, a filter, or duplicate the layers darken or grayscale the layer and move the object to the direction desired to create a shadow.

Thank you so much..... !!!

You can also use your blending modes .... template is top layer, paper or texture is bottom layer and then go play with the blending modes .... the template will have to have shadows already for this to work wit shadows inside the element

Thank you for sharing Susan

Two great ways... thanks ladies

You are welcome!

I forgot to mention ... you can also use your dodge and burn tools... dodge lightens your colour and burn darkens .... you can create highlights and shadows that way as well ... I would suggest you create a duplicate image so you can go back to the original if you need to
