Looking for PSD files

I am looking for PSD files (probably templates or such) that were created with the latest version(s) of Photoshop. I know I can find some in the kits section but I don't know if they were made with the latest versions or not.

The purpose of this is to test opening them in PSP. I often get questions from PSP users trying to open PSD files (which it does open but some types of layers might be problematic) so I need to test opening them in the latest versions of PSP, but in case there are differences in the creation of the files, initially, depending on the Photoshop version, I want to do all those types of testing.

So, can someone point me to which PSD files would have been created with the latest Photoshop?

Hi Carole,
I have Photoshop CC 2015. I'd be willing to make some PSD files that you can test, if you'd like. If so, let me know what kind of content you'd like the files to have. Just random layers of papers, elements, or ... ? Do you want me to put styles or patterns on anything, or clip layers to masks, etc. I'm not sure what you're looking to test, since I use only Photoshop and have never tried opening a PSD file with PSP. smiley

Thanks Marcy. As a tester, I am not sure what I am testing for either smiley
I know, from past experiences that vector layers are rasterized when opened in PSP. Also, styles are not carried through. But at least, that was the case last I checked but I have no idea what version of Photoshop was used to create those files. Since I have not tested recently, it likely was using a slightly older version.

So, if you have a chance to create things with a variety of types of layers (raster, text, vector, mask, style, etc.), I will be able to test and see what does open and what does not open and what does disappear or get changed.

No need to make "useful" files. Just testing ones so don't spend too much time making those files "pretty" smiley

It is appreciated.

OK, I will do some tomorrow. If you'll send me a private msg with your email address, I'll send you a download link when they're ready.

Fantastic!
Thanks

Fantastic!
Thanks

Any of my recent kits, from the last year or so at least, were made with the latest Photoshop. Keep in mind that Photoshop is now a subscription service, so it's updated frequently and versions may differ slightly depending on when they were last updated.

Good point, Marisa.

Thanks Marisa. That is what I suspected too.
Thanks Marcy for the files (which are different types than available here for download). I'll be doing some testing later today.

@Carole - you're welcome!
