Does anyone use Picasa to organize their scrapbooking supplies? I just downloaded it, but have no idea how to use it, so any tips would be appreciated.
I use Windows file system and organize myself.
There was a discussion on organizing scrapbooking files.
Thanks for the reply, Judy. Thank goodness the discussion you mentioned was a Sticky! I don't think I would have found it otherwise. Still not sure if PICASA is my answer, or if I'll just stick with what I've been doing so far.
So glad you found it. All you can do is try the program and see if it will work for you.
That's right, Judy. Thanks for your help, it's much appreciated!
Robyn, I just started using Picasa because I subscribe to Scrap Girls newsletter. Here is a tutorial I found on there.
Thanks for that link Judy! Heading over to check it out.
You are welcome!
You're welcome Nancy. I just hope Robyn has seen the link. I'm using Picasa now and I love it.
I just downloaded Picasa - it is going through all my supplies right now. Let's see how it works out. I can already see how picking out my templates for my layouts is going to be SO much easier - especially since I lost all my little folder pictures with the end of XP. So very excited to get scrapping again.
Good luck with it Nancy. I really do like it a lot!!
Update on how Picasa is working - I still need to do some tweaking on the folders so that I am insuring that everything is showing. Overall, I love being able to see everything that I have so I can quickly make a page! Thank you all so much for this tip!
@Judy: Thanks SOOO Much for the link on Picasa. I've been using it for several years now, but as I was tagging a few of Marisa's items before I uploaded them, I realized that 2 of her items were NOT showing up in my Picasa. I looked at several things trying to figure out why, and the Tutorial told me to WHY and how to fix it!

There's something more exciting that they didn't touch on. The fact that even if the color is NOT in the name, you can search for
and it will find all the green items or blue items...etc. Including photos of people that have green on or are outside with green grass or leaves in the photos.
Picasa is definitely worth getting to know!
You also might want to take a read through this thread that Marisa started 2 years ago.

Thank you for sharing the tips.
Adding a link here for some tutorials I did on Picasa. They are more on working with People within Picasa, but I thought I'd share them here as well, for those already following this thread.
