Scrapbook Factory Deluxe Question?

Does any one else out there use Scrapbook Factory Deluxe (SFD)?
I use it because I can find it at a price I can afford, unlike most of the others I see listed on this forum. Well, that, and I DO like it!

My big question, if anyone else uses it, is how to separate files. Like alphabets. All the letters on one sheet is not exactly easy to use....and I have literally dozens of alphabets that I can't use because they are connected, never mind more than 5 times as many embellishments smiley If any one knows how to separate them in SFD I'd greatly appreciate the help. I don't have Photoshop or any of the other programs listed. Sorry smiley

Ty for even looking in case you can help and thanks for any and all help in the future! smiley

When alphas and or objects are grouped together on a page you have to either copy the selected area or crop the selected area. If Scrapbook Factory offers these features than you can do. But if it does not you may need to use a picture editing software program.

CROPPING!!! Oh my goodness...why one earth did I NEVER think of that???!?!?!?!?! surely that could work.....

I'm feeling a tad silly now smiley smiley LOL smiley THANK YOU. Gotta go fidget and see if it does work (i'm sure it will, but now I have to SEE it work! lol!!) I hope it does because picture editing programs cost a lot lol >.<

Ok, so "crop" didn't work and yet did at the same time. *sighs*

Explaining myself, best I can.

I couldn't use crop the way I normally do. But I could select "edit image" and use the crop feature there. However, when I did this it prompted me to save the crop as it's own file. This SEEMED great, so I did this nine times one for each letter on the sheet. when I hit "done" it HAD cropped the sheet some, but not around ONE letter as I had cropped it, but around three letters...VAGUELY in the shape of the letter I'd cropped... so I undid that and went to find the letters I'd saved as their own files...that looked great until I saw it in the program with new, random black shapes stuck to it smiley

This is kinda frustrating....but SINCE it seemed to half work, I'm hoping perhaps you or someone has a tip to get rid of the black stuffs?

*keeps a hopeful, open mind*

Will the program allow for transpancy or the removal of the background. Like the magic wand in Photoshop that removes all of one color.

Not sure. I'll have to look for those words....I wish this thing came with an instruction book smiley lol
