I see it is a vector program, which is what Illustrator does. Vectors are great for creating shapes and designs. But a picture editing program is what you want to put your pages together. The vector items can be used in your layouts.
I own a copy and use it sometimes. I create vector shapes (.SVG files) in Inkscape then import to Seamless Studio where I can use them to create a seamless and repeating pattern that I can then use in PS to help with my pattererned paper designs.
Will Seamles Studio also create vector shapes or does it only create seamless and repeating patterns.
It does not create vector shapes but it comes with a bunch of basic ones. It's primary function is as is reflected in it's name, for creating seamless patterns (quickly and easily). YOu can test play with the software online here.

Yes I am looking to make patterns. I have illustrator but have not found any tutorials on how to make patterns in it yet.
