At some point something happened with my text tool so that it types right to left, but the text reads left to right. It's not an issue until I need punctuation at the end of a sentence because it ends up at the beginning. So far I've been doing a second text layer for the punctuation. Any ideas on how to fix this? Try resetting the text tool first.
When you have the text tool open, there should be a menu dropdown in the corner. One of the options is "Reset Tool". See if that works.
Thanks Courtney. I did realize that it is only happening when I'm working with a layout template. If I start a layout from scratch, I don't have that problem.

Courtney, I'm having another problem that maybe you know how to fix. All my type is in uppercase now. Caps lock isn't on. I'm using fonts that allow for lowercase. The layer is showing that it was typed lowercase. I tried to reset the text tool, but that didn't help. Any other ideas?
In Photoshop, there's a button in the Text panel that looks like TT that will shift everything to uppercase. It may be that PSE has something similar.
I tried again to reset the tool and got it to work. I had copied and pasted some text from a website. Perhaps that caused the issue. Everything is good now. Holly, I don't see a button like that in my version of PSE. Thanks for your suggestion.
