It's tornado season in Texas...

Just sharing some photos of some really cool mammatus clouds from a storm cell about 80 miles away! There was hail and tornadoes there, but this was our view (with some thunder)!

Wow !! these are cool photos Tina .... stay safe smiley

Wow, that looks remarkably eerie! You wouldn't catch me outside in weather like that. Nice photos, though!

They are estimating up to a dozen tornadoes from that cell, but all we got was a little rain, thunder and lightning. Haven't heard of any injuries yet, just wind damage and flooding, at the moment.

Cool pics. Glad you're safe.

Lived in the South most of my life and saw plenty of clouds like that esp in Louisiana. Always suspicious of bad weather with them tho thankfully they never spurned on tornadoes. Those are some great shots tho. Weather can be amazing even tho it can be destructive too!

Well, turns out there were 8 confirmed tornadoes, all EF0, so at least they were on the low end of that scale! No injuries, though!

Very cool images for sure! Stay safe during this season!

I'm also in Texas, Central part about an hour from Austin. We had storms and a great lightning show but nothing more serious than that. Glad you stayed safe.

Great pics! We have relatives in Stephenville and they had some really bad weather there during these storms. I'm glad that you were safe and that there were no deaths with these storms.
