can we share our layouts if we got the materials, such as templates, elsewhere, or does everything have to come from this site?

Of course you can! Our gallery is open. It would be nice if you include designer name/kit name of the stuff you used so, if we like it, we can check how to get the same kits for our layouts too. Have fun!

thanks. Just starting and mine sure are not as nice as those on here. I can't believe the talent.

I know how you feel. Marisa has a very precious tip about it: Start saving somewhere the layouts you love and when you want to start a new layout, "copy" them, but using the papers/elements you have. It´s a great way to get used to composition, element sizing, clustering... And please, don´t feel intimidated to post. We all started from some point, right? I have awful layouts in my gallery, from when I was a beginner...

Oh, I still laugh when I look at my first layout. I was so proud of it then, but have grown so much in my layout skills in the last 15 months, that my pages don't look like that anymore. I think it's great to be able to visually track my progress.

And I definitely second the advice given about scraplifting other layouts.

I am the same way... except mine has been about 8 yrs digital and 15 years paper... and I'm still not as good as some of these ladies. and
I "ScrapLift" a LOT in both formats. smiley
