Picasa Users - What's Your Plan As It's Discontinued?

Are you a Picasa user - what's your plan as it's discontinued? Sad news for Picasa users.

I don't use the web albums option in Picasa, just the tagging, organization and search functionality so it's not really an issue for me. Picasa still works the same for me as it always did. I am wondering though if I have a copy of the installer though, in case I need to reinstall it in the future if I get a new hard drive or just re-install Windows or something... just checked, looks like I didn't have a copy of the installer smiley Looks like I need to find a back up plan *sigh*

I have Bridge but I've never really liked how it worked. Off to research Picasa alternatives. smiley

Whoa. Google just announced that it’s making its Nik Collection of desktop photo editing software 100% free.

I have never used the software but professional photographers seem to love it. It's worth checking out. Here is the article http://petapixel.com/2016/03/24/googles-150-nik-collection-photo-editing-software-now-100-free/

My feelings are hurt. I spent A LOT of time setting up the faces. Plus, it's the only software I know of that creates an age-progression style video from the faces selected. smiley I am looking for alternatives now....

Im slowly finding other ways to do what I did so quickly in Picassa. I mainly used it as a photo editor but it was limited.
