Project life

I've been heard about project life lately and I really would like to find out more about it.
Does anyone know about project life? Can you tell me something more about it?

There´s a lot about it on Digital Scrabook Discussion forum Frederica! Violet have a series of PL-Inspired kits here on DigitalScrapbook.com too, called Documentarian! And there are some blog posts on Marisa´s blog that are great inspiration!

But I´m sure other ladies have more precise information for you! smiley

OH yeah! I started Project Life this year and am loving it. I was very hesitant as it seems very 'boxed in' but I am loving it so far. What kinds of questions do you have? If you take a look at my gallery you'll see some of my project life inspired layouts.

I didn't know that Lorien, thank you, I will check that out smiley

I will certainly take a look to your gallery smiley I would like to know what is its purpose and what are the differences between it and scrapbooking smiley

It is a pocket style of scrapbooking to document the daily life. It generally utilizes pocket cards, or journal cards for the documenting. I think it is can take on any interpretation you like. Marisa has made some of her own templates which are similar but still different enough for the pocket style layouts. I am not sure how many people here are doing a digital project life, but this if my first year and I am enjoying it very much.

I've started Project Life recently. It's a more simple way of scrapbooking in pocket form. You put photos with journal cards to document your day/week/year/life and hey, presto. smiley There are alot of freebies on the web for it.

I do digital Project Life. smiley

I've seen some of your layouts inspired to project life and they are pretty cool, thank you for the informations smiley

Thank you so much for the informations, now I know what project life is haha I'll try it smiley

Becky Higgins has some videos on her blog Becky Higgins. This link is to her site with lots of info as well as her app and kits. Like already mentioned there are TONS of freebies and other designers that create cards for this concept

Thank you so much for the help xx

Project Life Scrapbooking is Awesome. It's fun just to MAKE the little cards that go in the pockets. If you feel creative, but don't have the time or energy to make a whole 12x12 layout, you can make little 3x4 or 4x6 cards. Or little square cards too -some of the pockets come in 3x3, 4x4, and 6x6 sizes. i sell my little cards that I make in my Etsy Shop ( BunnyNosePink ) and you could too! It's just FUN. I don't personally scrapbook with actual pockets myself, but I love the DIGITAL style of that Look. You can google "Digital Project Life Scrapbooking" to see examples, if you're new to this. You could also, get with your kids (and teens) and spend time making those little cards, together! (Maybe start an Etsy Shop where you sell your kid's little card creations. That fun, free, style that kids have is highly coveted in the Project Life world, and you and your kids would have a blast smiley )

thank you for the informations and the ideas Michelle smiley smiley

I have attempted to do Project Life several times, but never seem to get the time to stick to it. I find I don’t have enough photo’s or things to write about to create a book for each day/week/month/year. But I absolutely love pocket scrapbooking, only been doing this style of scrapbooking for last year but seem to find its only style of pages I create now. I create pocket pages for family holiday trips, days out etc. And have recently started to create a pocket scrapbook about our pets. I started off searching for freebies to help me get started with my pocket scrapbooking. Once you have templates you can use any scrapbook kits to create your pocket pages.

I started doing a PL-style album this summer. In fact, that's how I found this site. smiley I was looking for an outer space-themed journaling card for one of my pages. I can't afford to buy a lot of the supplies in the store, but I like designing my own, so now that I have found all these digi resources, I am having great fun with it!
