Returning to Digital Scraping

Last week I got an email from DigitalScrapbook.com. It was kind of ironic because I had been thinking about how I needed to come back and get some new kits. Needless to say I logged in. I've been coming everyday to look at kits, the gallery, and the forum. I sought out my external hard drives today. I have 4 of them. I was able to quickly go through 3 of them today. I found sooooo many digital kits but very few photos. I know that my husband & I lost several years of photos many years ago when our computer crashed. That was the reason we bought external drives. I'm hoping that when I get a chance to look at the final drive I can find a good collection of photos. I want to be able to sit and scrap for the day. Right now I'm at the stage where I'm just searching for everything. Lol. I've got a quick question though, what does the number next to DC mean, it's by my log in? I'm happy to be here and I'm enjoying everyones layouts.

You have 5 free download credits everyday if you are a non-subscriber, but it is for individual items only, like 1 paper, 1 bow, 1 tag, 1 button, and 1 stitching. If that makes sense. If you subscribe, which it looks like you do, they won't mean much to you, I believe. I'm sitting on 230! lol

Hope you find some photos April. Looking forward to seeing your layouts!

@April SO sorry you lost photos. Unfortunately I think many of us have had to learn that hard lesson. We now have so much back-up redundancy to not let this happen again and with ALL the ways we obtain or create photographic memories (phones, FB, instagram, regular cameras, friends & family) nowadays it's even crazier keeping up with all of this.
I sometimes feel so overwhelmed with HOW MANY photos there are available to me. LoL I kind of feel like the simplicity is kind of lost and it's harder to have "cherished" photos since there are so many good options now available. anyhow... not sure why i got off on that. lol
But so glad you're back... and looking forward to your layouts as you finish sorting it all out. smiley smiley

We're in the same boat April. I'm just picking it up again after several years. I didn't realize how rusty I had gotten - and how much things have changed! I'm so sorry to hear about your photos. Did you upload any to Flickr? Or Google Photos maybe? I hope you find some.

Tracy, Flickr maybe, I had forgotten about that. I did find a few on my Walgreens account. Lol. I just started using google within the last 5-7 years. They all back up from my phone to there now. Running to check Flickr.
