Show me your [kits]!

So, 2020 continues to suck.

I've just been diagnosed with breast cancer and I am, quite frankly, pretty pissed off about it. (I'm also sad, stressed, freaked out and I just want it over with.) I'm still processing it and I have lots of waiting and tests ahead of me and I'm trying to keep myself distracted.

I don't really feel particularly inspired to design, but looking at photos of my boys cheers me up so I figure this is as good a time as any to catch up on their yearly scrapbooks. I'm around 6 years behind so I'll have plenty to do.

Although I have a stupid number of digital scrap supplies already, I've decided to treat myself to a self pity downloading spree - so show me your favourite digital scrap kits, Pixelscrapper or otherwise. I like glitter and sparkles and cheeky word art.

Oh no TRISH!? Well, quite frankly, that does suck. smiley I hope it all goes quickly and positively for you! smiley

I'll be back with some kits!

My favorite thing you said was "pissed off". That is just poetic genius for facing Cancer. Stay mad! Stay on task and on treatment. Keep us updated! I'm hoping everything ends up positive.

My step sons mom beat breast cancer last year, she was only 39, and she is still Cancer free today! There is definitely hope! Sending out love and hugs, good vibes and bravery to you! smiley

Thank you, Rachel. These are great, especially "A Little Gypsy" and "The Best is Yet To Come". I love seeing what sort of kits other people like because it takes me out of my comfort zone. I find that I keep gravitating toward certain kits and styles and ignore everything else.

And I shall stay mad! Although things are going well enough right now, all things considered - my scans came back clear so the cancer hasn't spread, and chemo starts in 2 weeks. Not that I have a plan I can, well, plan!

I'm collecting kits and sorting photos so I can scrap on my laptop if I end up stuck in bed for days on end. Might even end up with some completed scrap books by the end of the year!

I just want to encourage you... I don't really have a list of kits as I've had some health struggles and taking care of my mom lately keeps me on my toes. I've had a lumpectomy myself but not full fledge cancer, but 3 family members & 2 close friends in the past 3 years diagnosed... some through surgery (minimal & invasive, chemo & radiation) BUT I am happy to report that each of them is Cancer Free at this point!!! Our breast cancer centers medical systems are set up to really conquer this type of cancer (even if there are several types, I know of 3 types just from my family and friends I mentioned). I know it sucks!!!, is scary as hell!!!, and just will plain out right make life tough for the next bit, BUT stay STRONG, keep your loved one's close (let them be there for you, don't shut them out... they will be your BEST resource), Find a good support group (even now this early) It really is good to be able to VENT and talk through it all with people that "Get It".
Please keep us posted on any specific prayers you need. I will add you to my list for the next several months. Love & Blessings

Trish: just reading this, although I will possibly be back to show you some kits, I just want to reach out to you. Keeping you in my prayers and hoping that you will be cured fast. Sending you much love. smiley smiley smiley

Trish: How are you? Do you have any more test results? smiley

I am back with some kits from PS that I have scrapbooked with myself and that are all really great kits.

If you wanted to go more vintage check Jessica's creations. She has adorable brushes, I like working with brushes rather than other ellies in yearbooks, ellies can look really dated after a while. The brushes retain a classic look.
Are you in Victoria? Somehow I placed you there... I think I read it on your blog or you mention it, so that in mind, you might just stick to one of The Good Life Bundles for each yearbook. I am totally in love with those and I am looking forward to each new one big time.

I had a blogtrain freebie and a coordinating paper pack freebie a while ago. If you want them and did not get them as freebies drop me pm.

And these papers by Elif are really so absolutely divine for every little theme or album. Totally versatile
