Tea Lovers -- I NEED YOUR HELP!!!

I love a good cup of tea, it warms the soul. For quite some time I have purchased my tea locally from a little specialty tea shop, well the kind gentleman who ran the shop has retired and closed his business. WITH NO WARNING!

So if any of you purchase bulk loose leaf tea any where online (or even know of a shop that ships) please let me know! I would love your suggestions. Better yet if you know of a place sells Cherry Almond Black Tea or Passion Fruit Papaya Black tea you'll be my hero!

Let me know what you know!

tea source is pretty good, my sister got me hooked on their stuff, and they have a wide variety of types and flavors.

I order bulk loose leaf tea on Amazon. The brand I've been using lately is Tattle Tea, I buy the English Breakfast and Earl Grey.

Christi - I feel your pain as I had that happen recently, too. One of the owners of my favorite shop was diagnosed with cancer & they closed their physical store very unexpectedly but have kept their online store open so I shop there when I'm looking personally sourced amazing teas https://www.teatrekker.com/

As for other online shops:

This place has both teas you're looking for but I have no clue if they are the exact ones you're looking for http://www.enjoyingtea.com/chalbltea.html & http://www.enjoyingtea.com/pafrbltea.html (main page http://www.enjoyingtea.com/). I don't think I've ever ordered from them but the site sure look great (LOTS of tea!).

A place I have ordered from (& stopped in as well when we drove by there) is Harney & Sons https://www.harney.com/. I didn't see if they had your teas but the ones I've had from there have been fabulous.

Another place I've ordered from is Mark Wendell but not recently (for no reason other than I have a lot of tea right now) https://bulktea.com/

And here's a place I haven't been (sad, as it's right near me) - Tea Guys http://www.teaguys.com/. A friend LOVES their tea.

Hope this helps!

Thank you guys!

My stash is quickly disappearing. I've checked out a few places and have been hesitant to buy online because it's har to tell what you are getting. I appreciate your recommendations so I know I'm getting some good quality tea.

I like Teavana teas. They can get a bit pricey but have great sales during the year that I can latch onto and stock up on.

Hi, Jenn! Thanks for you post, it reminded me to share what I found. I've tried Teavana in the past, but the closest store is 3 hours away and I can't bring myself to spend the $$ without trying them because of how expensive they can be.

That being said I ended up getting a nice selection from culinaryteas.com. They had some variations of some of my favorites that happened to be on sale when I found their site. I order like 7 sample sizes of different teas. I"ve been drinking them and driving my husband nuts with reviews of each of them.

Glad you found some you like Christi! I totally agree with trying the teas before you buy. I too have about 3 hours to travel to the closest store and have taken a chance with buying new flavors online only to be disappointed, thus I typically stick to the few faves that I know I love. I checked out Culinary Teas and there are several that intrigue me. I may have to give them a try! Thanks and happy drinking smiley

My favorite source for tea is http://adagio.com I love the teas there. They are high quality, and their ship time is pretty good, even to the small, out of the way Western town I live in. I was drawn to the site because they make "fandom blends," tea based on fictional characters. For instance, one of my absolute favorite teas is "yessir, captain Tightpants," based on Kaylee Fry from Firefly. It's chocolate and strawberry. So good! I hate coffee, and my husband is allergic to caffeine, so my 13yo son is the only one in the house who drinks coffee. All of us drink tea.

I have also ordered from Adagio Teas and found them to be good.

Fun!

Doesn't your area have a tea and coffee shop where you can buy bulk tea. Gee, even a place as this (Richmond Va) which is essentially 20 years behind the times, has a great one.

Also, sometimes you can find this type of bulk at your local health or whole foods markets, have you tried?

Angela that the problem I ran into, my local tea shop closed. The gentleman wanted to retire and after years of trying to find a buyer he decided to hang up his hat. Hindsight being 20/20 I would have bought the little shop! I did check health food store, no luck and my area is not blessed with a Whole Foods smiley. I did find a decent online company, so it seems to be working out okay. The flavors aren't quite like what the stores were but he had his own blends that made them special.

well glad you found a substitute, I am an avid tea drinker also, as I am of British descent and must have my Cuppa
