What cosmetics ( makeup) do you wear?

I use to but for several years I haven't worn any cosmetics unless you count clear lip balm. At the other extreme I have a friend who is completely made up at all times. She takes it off to shower and then puts it all back on before leaving the bathroom. Her husband claims to have never seen her without it, and I'm inclined to believe him. I'm just curious and want to know what cosmetics you wear ? Do you ever go without or do you feel naked without it?

I do like makeup, but not as much as your friend. I wear a powder foundation, a little blush, eyeshadow and mascara, and a tinted lip balm. I do go without at the house or for a quick trip to the grocery store on the weekend. I think it's good to let your skin breathe every now and then.

Great question. I am a bit older so I wear cover up to conceal some of my age spots. It doesn't work completely but I at least feel better about being out when I have it on. I do wear a light blusher, lipstick and some eyeshadow but I don't wear mascara. I'm a cryer and even with waterproof mascara I still get runs if I wear any. I put it on every morning but I will take it off after dinner when we are getting settled down for the evening.

make up ... hm smiley .... haven't worn any for years because of my allergies.... I like it better that way as well .. funny because my sister who is in her 70's still puts on lipstick and blue eye shadow from when she was in her teens ... can't tell her not to ... she is my older sister smiley

I used to wear make-up before I became a sahm - mostly Mary Kay products (skin care & makeup) before I developed an allergy to them, then Origins. I wasn't heavy with the makeup - a little bit of foundation to even out the skin & protect it, a light application of blush, some eye liner & mascara, and lipstick. If it was a special occasion, I'd add some eye shadow & highlighter. But now...I hardly wear makeup at all. I have some mineral foundation that I occasionally use (on the few occasions I get to go out) & then I'll throw on some lipstick & mascara - that's about it. These days it's just a good skincare regimen, moisturizer, Badger Lip balm (I love the tangerine breeze - it's my favorite) & occasionally a neutral pink lipstick.

I hardly ever wear makeup anymore. When I do, on those rare occasions, Covergirl foundation and Revlon eyeshadow, eyeliner, and lipstick--no blush, I like looking pale as a vampire. lol

Yes! Not as much as I use to but a little here and there. I never leave home without some SPF BB Cream, other than that so lip treatment, and if I have time in the morning will do blush and liner, but I can't do much eye make up anymore since I don't get any sleep I get chronic eye infections with that stuff nowadays!

Susan, my older sister wears way too much eye liner and looks like a racoon. Like you, I don't say anything as it wouldn't do anything but cause a fuss. Sorry to hear about your allergies. Thankfully I'm not allergic to the cosmetics, I just don't feel I need them. As I've gotten older I've become more comfortable with myself and have decided I am beautiful just as I am. Clean healthy skin and a happy smile are all I need.

I don't wear much makeup as it tends to make me break out. I know, you'd think I'd be too old for that by now but apparently I'm not. I apply a moisturizer, tinted lipbalm and mascara. That's my makeup routine.

Susan I have the same problem with my Mom and makeup. She is in her late 60's and wants to wear the same brand and colors of makeup that my 22 year old niece is wearing. It's not the most flattering look but she really seems to like it. If nothing else it gives her and my niece something to bond over.

I used to wear eye shadow trying to match clothing I was wearing and Cover Girl foundation and blush. I also used to wear high heels and dress every day for about 20 years. Now I only wear foundation to even out my skin. I still feel weird without all the makeup but I just don't go hardly anywhere so just don't feel it's worth all the trouble.

I never was a heavy makeup girl in the first place, though I wore it a lot more often when I was working, especially if I was working with the public. But cooking and being a bike mechanic...yeah, not so much. Eyeliner was about it then--everything else would get steamed off over the grill, or washed off when I needed to wash my greasy face after tearing down a bottom bracket.

After I got sick and couldn't work, makeup got to be one of those things that I just never really bother with except for special occasions. I almost have to wear some if I'm going to be out in the sun, though--my super-duty low-toxicity sunblock tends to make me look vampire pale if I don't add a bit of colored powder over the top, and the powder stays put that way too! Eyeliner and lip gloss go with that if I'm doing it.

I use IT Cosmetics....really like it as it is a soft finish...natural looking...as u can tell from m ypic..I like the natural look smiley
