Wedding Tip Needed: Photographing Sparklers please advise

smiley New camera + Daughter's Best Friend's Wedding + Put in Charge of taking the Pictures = Panic.

Just found out that instead of tossing rice or birdseed the MOTB bought those 2 foot sparklers for guests to light in order to send the newlyweds off on their honeymoon. Would love some advice on settings, exposure etc to capture those awesome "pinterest worthy" photos where the bride & groom can be seen in the background with a big sparkler heart in the foreground ... you get the idea.

Counting on my new PixelScrapper friends for advice! Thanks in advance:

I don't know if this is still something you need assistance on, but be forewarned, regular sparklers leave a HUGE plume of smoke and haze! A friend used them in her wedding, and it made a choking-coughing mess for the guests!
