I'm Alissa, from Indiana, and fairly new to digital (and paper) scrapping. My kids are 8 and 11 and I am finally getting around to documenting our family life. I also like to quilt, crochet, cross stitch and garden...basically I like to learn new things and be creative at the same time. I am looking forward to getting to know everyone here, learn from ya'll and improve my digital scrapping skills. This looks like a great site with a lot to learn from!

Welcome Alissa! I have family that live in Tipton (really small town)...
All those pretty patterned papers and journaling just felt like the natural progression for me.
I thought I would eventually do again someday, but when I started having issues with De Quervain's Tendinosis, I started to slack a lot and never really returned. 
I like to quilt, too... If I were completely honest between my quilting and my love for fabric (there are so many patterned fabric options)... and my genealogy research to learn more about my grandma those are the two things that led me to fall into scrapping.
I use to cross stitch a LOT and still have tons of patterns and every skein of DMC thread color created.
So glad to have you here at PS and look froward to getting to know you more.
Shawna - I used to live in Indianapolis (in Terre Haute now) and had friends from Tipton! I love fabric too - I have some that I won't cut...I just take them out and look at them every once in a while. Dorky I know
I'm sorry to hear of your Tendinosis, that would be so rough. I found doing big pictures taxes my interest so I just do small ones (ornaments and such).
