Hello fom Michigan

Hello, my name is Jen. I have been interested in creating scrapbooks for nearly 20 years. About 10 years ago I transitioned from traditional scrapbook to digital scrapbook development. Besides my interest in scrap booking, from September until June I work at an elementary school with children enrolled in special education.

I have designed over 30 scrapbooks, calendars and other keepsakes for family and friends over the years. I like the look for vintage scrapbooks and design elements. I was first drawn to DigitalScrapbook.com in search of vintage embellishments and paper to create a cookbook. I was working with several of my grandmothers recipes that were written in her own hand and wanted digital details that helped to lend that project an authentic look of a 1940's style publication.

I have also made several sports themed scrapbooks for by son and 4 nephews. As of late I have started to include digital scrap booking to genealogy projects. It provides the perfect opportunity to blend the look of antique documents with new photos.

I enjoy layering elements give a project the look of depth and motion. Additionally I have started learning how to create digital clusters. I am new to the blog forum . Thank you for reading my post.
