Color palette files......

Ok, I'd like to participate in a blog train.
But, I don't know how to use the ACO (sp?) files.
How does one make sure the colors I use are the same as in the color palette?
I use Artisan 5 software, and I don't have Photoshop.
If that matters.
Probably doesn't.
But I have no idea how to do this, ROFL! (Roll On Floor Laughing)

I'd say there are at least three options open to you.

If you know how to use the .aco files (they're swatch palettes for Photoshop and Elements, though some other programs might be able to read them), then you can use those with the Swatch palette to have the exact colors.

You can also use the hex codes for each color on the palette image. For instance FFFFFF is white, 000000 is black, etc. There might be a spot in your color-picker where you can enter a hex code (it'll be six characters no matter what color you're looking at), and that will give you the exact color.

Another option is to just download the palette image from a blog train thread and use the eyedropper tool to pick the colors from there. Make sure you're away from the edges where jpeg dithering is going to affect the precise color.

OK, thank you very much for the help! Now I know what to do! Sweet!
