I need help to upload a layout

Hello, I am trying to upload a layout for the Madness winter 2015. I am not having any luck at all. I have tried different pixel setting and it has come back image too small. When I think I have it right because I get a green check mark and then press the submit layout. It comes back and says this Please save your jpeg image using the "maximum quality" settings of your software. I have read everywhere I know to read and I just don't know what to do anymore. Can someone help me please? Many thanks, Vanessa

Vanesa if you go to the top of this page and click on HELP, then click on "guide to uploading your layout" you should be able to find an answer to your problem. Hope this helps!

Vanessa, did you already apply for gallery access? If not, you need to do it here. The page that Patricia pointed at has more detailed info about gallery uploading.

Hello Marisa, I am using Craft Artist as my scrapbook program. I tried to upload again this morning and did a screen shot but I don't know how to get that to you. I was able to get to use flickr like your husband suggested and get the url but after that I am at a loss. I have 3 or 4 layouts ready for the challenge. And another problem now is, I can't find the forum for the challenge to even see what other people have done. I think I am not very good at this kind of thing. My apologies for taking up so much of your time.

Vanessa, you can upload the screenshot to flickr as well, and I can look at it there. Otherwise, if I'm going to help you, I need to know at what point things aren't working.

To start, you should go here to upload a layout. Then, you can fill in the different fields. Each of those boxes on the left has different information for you to fill out, so you should look through all of them. When you are done, be sure to click "submit layout" at the bottom.

Let me know which of these steps is causing you problems.

Hi Marisa, I think I figured it out...because I have managed to upload four layouts so far. I managed to crash my computer and lost all my photos and more but with the help of an expert he was able to recover most of my pictures. I was able to recover a couple of layouts from a month ago so I didn't count them for the challenge. As soon as I get my pictures back in order I will do some more layouts for the challenge but I don't think I will make my goal.

I think the last problem I am having is finding the thread for the Winter Madness challenge. But I have not put much effort into that because of my other problems.

Thank you so much for all of your help. This is a great place and I am very glad I found it. Next I just have to get a couple of kits or assets to start using. Thanks for everything!

Vanessa, on the top menu, go to forums. You will see all the forums divided in categories. the third category is Digital scrapbooking challenges. Inside it, the first forum is Layout Challenges. The winter madness topics are there.

Hello Lorien, Thanks so much for your help. I did get that figured out but still have run into another problem. I know I am the biggest pest in the world and I really am trying to get this figured out.

This is where I get lost is where it says "Don't forget to add the link too! In order to do this, while on your layout page highlight the link to you page layout at the top. It show as yellow box with and "address". But on my computer I don't have a yellow box with an address. I have clicked on the tab at the top and there is no way to copy anything. so I am lost. I now know how to get my page into the forum but I can't figure out how to link it to the gallery. I don't know where to go from here. Thank you for your help. Vanessa

I´m sorry not to have answering you lately, I thought your problem was solved. So, top insert the link to the gallery, you need to copy it from your browser bar, and them you have three options:

first: simply hit control +V below or above your layout.

Second: add a sentence like "see it in my gallery" or "see it here" and hilight the word you want to transform in a link by holding the left mouse button and sliding the cursor through all the word, or words Then, you click on the second icon on the bar above the posting box, and insert the url where it´s written "URL" - you have a fancier link!

Third: hilight all the text that apperared on the post box after you insert the image. It starts with a bracket then the letters img and ends with a slash, the letters img and a closing bracket. After higlighting it all (won´t work if you don´t higlight all the code!) you lick on the second icon on the bar above the posting box, and insert the url where it´s written "URL" - in this way, when someone click on your image, it wil open the gallery link. Neat, isn´t it?
