A question ... is there any way of having the new topics come up to the top of the messages in each different forum .... it's rather annoying knowing there are two or three new ones and having to search for them .... sometimes they can be quite far down in the list ... lol

There is this option at the bottom of the forum, although I can't tell if it's actually showing just new things, or new and updated:
