Sorting/Filtering of Kits

Hi, please forgive me if this has been answered somewhere, I poked around a bit and couldn't find the answer - nor was I able to figure out how to search the forums...

Anyways - I was wondering - is there a way to sort kits or assets by what you've already downloaded? Sometimes I forget what I've downloaded and end up opening up a kit I've already gotten. I'd love to be able to filter out ones that I already have.

Thanks so much for any support/advice you can give.

Steph

Steph, this is not exactly what you are asking for - but have you noticed when you click on an item ready to download it, there is an area near the download button that will tell you if you have already downloaded the item, and also under which licence (PU or CU). I do agree that it would be good to be able to see at a glance when looking at a page of kits or items which ones you already have, though!

At present, there is no way to directly search the forums for something specific, but I know that Jordan once posted a way to search them using Google. I'll have a hunt around, and post the link here for you when I find it.

UPDATE: Found it! This is what Jordan said:

As a temporary solution, you can use Google.com to search the DigitalScrapbook.com forums if necessary. Just type (or copy and paste) this query into Google:

site:digitalscrapbook.com forums [whatever you want to search for here]

This has been a problem for me always, I have so much in my pc, I can't organize it.

Thanks Robyn! I did notice, and I LOVE that feature, I had just hoped to see it on the search bar rather than once I go in.

Oh well smiley

Something to watch out for with the "you have already downloaded this item" feature - if you have tried to download something, but for some reason the download failed, it still says that you have downloaded the item.

thanks! and that's terribly unfortunate smiley

Filenames are long in what i download. Any tips on renaming the kits?

Thank you

I use this bulk renaming program to rename things in a group.

wow, that the one i use
