Good Morning! I just downloaded an asset and when I filed it, there was something weird about it. Instead of having a transparent background, it was BLACK! This is the asset I downloaded - ps_marisa-lerin_1170_ornamental-border-1-black-gray_pu and instead of the beautiful border on a transparent background, it is white on black. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks!

I just realized that the other element I downloaded this morning has the same issue - ps_janet-scott_24249_reading-writing-and-arithmetic-bunting-shadowed_pu, has a black background. I will shut down and start over, but it seems odd. Thanks for what ever help anyone can offer!
Well, i think I might have figured it out, so I will post it here and see if makes sense to any of you wiser than I! I have (had) Irfanview on my computer to edit the size of pictures, and it automatically makes itself the default photo viewer, so as I was downloading the images from here, even though they are png files, Irfanview was saving them as jpg files, hence taking the transparent background and making it solid black. Once I deleted Irfanview, voila! Transparent images! So....perhaps someone can learn from my frustration! What photo viewer do you use? Now it is defaulting to the windows viewer and while it is okay....

That (MS Office Picture Manager - default) is what I use to view and downloaded files... everything that is except psds which I use ACDSee to view them if I don't want to open it in PSCS.
