About Me
I'm an artist and poet by well, can I call it a trade?! I maintain a blog that "draws" all the arts together and that has been condensed just this past year from a site and blog combo to just my blog.
I would say my scrapbooking style is hybrid since I still have my tradition scrapbook stash. I have made a few of my own paper backgrounds just by experimenting in my art journal and so far I have used a few of those in my pieces. Hopefully, I can make my own digi papers soon. I love paper and I always will.
I'm a history major who loves vintage items and loves how the study of history is essentially a time machine.
Description
On my way home from school my husband took a picture of the sunset. I loved this beautiful picture that I had decided to craft with it. I used it in two clipping masks. I liked the doily one the most so I used it for this layout. I liked the blue and yellow floral pattern of Sheila Reid's Sunshine and Lemons Paper so I used that as my background.
I was trying to go with simple here too. Partly because I didn't want to take the emphasis from the sunset doily and second I just a new computer and finally photoshop so I'm learning and experimenting with the software. This is the first layout I used with photoshop and the first layout with a clipping mask. I am happy to finally have photoshop because the software I was using was helpful but was limiting when it came to using templates from PS!
