About Me
Wife to a wonderful husband (married 28 yrs; been together 35 yrs). Have 2 beautiful daughters both at university. Crafting has been a part of my life since I was a child - my inspiration is my mother who has produced beautiful works of art in cross-stitch and is a very accomplished knitter/crocheter and will have a go at anything - even electrical work!
I have "had a go" at knitting, cross-stitching but they just aren't me. I LOVE LOVE LOVE paper and colour! I began making my own cards 20 years ago buying major craft companys' products, then discovered scrapbooking on my first trip to Florida when I almost fainted when I entered a huge store devoted to scrapbooking in Altamonte Springs (my family left me to my own devices at this point!).
Digital scrapbooking has been a revelation! I discovered Craft Crave 4 years ago which introduced me to all the wonderful designers out there and now have 1TB of kits, papers, elements and what I call tools. I started using all the beautiful kits I have to make cards using MS Publisher, then my daughter showed me PS which I found a bit complicated and now mainly use PSE and MS Publisher. Despite my huge collection, I have only made a handful of scrapbook pages.
I would love to be able to be a designer, but don't know where to start.
I've held down responsible jobs from building society manger to managing a department in the National Health Service but had to give up work 4.5 yrs ago as I contracted Transverse Myelitis which almost paralysed me... just recently I was given the diagnosis that I have MS :-(.
