About Me
I'm a freelance editor, writer and photographer. I picked up cardmaking as an art hobby more than 25 years ago. That led to scrapbooking, but really took off when digital scrapbooking software started popping up on the market. Thanks to PixelScrapper, I have honed my design skills and do some small design jobs for hire, along with my regular editing and writing. I live in the beautiful state of Montana where I work from home and volunteer for a local non-profit called the Dylan Steigers Concussion Project. I also teach water aerobics at our local Women's Club. (Otherwise, I might sit on the couch all day designing!). Besides a passion for photography, I love sports, flyfishing, cardmaking, gardening, and walking. My goal is to try to learn a new technique or enhance existing ones every month so I can give back to this wonderful community of scrapbookers through the PS blog trains.

Description
My daughter and her friend are in the middle of a 6-week tour of Europe. They're getting awesome photos all over, and I haven't seen a lot of them because they only have their cell phones and have limited online access. But these scenics of Venice were so vibrant I had to put a page together. My daughter's friend posted a beautiful photo of herself on a bridge in Venice with a big floppy red hat. She liked the first version of this page I did but I loved this one much better, so I replaced her photo with one I got from a free online source called Pixabay. I started with and adapted Anna Aspnes Designs' artsy layered template17 from OScraps for this layout. I wish I could take credit for the title idea, but I must give credit to a rubber stamp company I had been reviewing earlier today called Whipper Snapper Designs where I saw the stamp with that saying on it.
