About Me
I'm a freelance editor, writer and photographer. I picked up cardmaking as an art hobby more than 25 years ago. That led to scrapbooking, but really took off when digital scrapbooking software started popping up on the market. Thanks to PixelScrapper, I have honed my design skills and do some small design jobs for hire, along with my regular editing and writing. I live in the beautiful state of Montana where I work from home and volunteer for a local non-profit called the Dylan Steigers Concussion Project. I also teach water aerobics at our local Women's Club. (Otherwise, I might sit on the couch all day designing!). Besides a passion for photography, I love sports, flyfishing, cardmaking, gardening, and walking. My goal is to try to learn a new technique or enhance existing ones every month so I can give back to this wonderful community of scrapbookers through the PS blog trains.

Description
While cleaning up the garden for the season, I dug up this cat-faced spider last week. So, I put him on the shovel, grabbed my camera, and I think I irritated him (or her...I didn't get THAT close...nor would I know how to tell if I WAS that close) for a few minutes while taking some photos. But, no harm done. Then I put him back. I used Sheila Reid's "No Tricks, Just Treats" kit for this layout.

I am not a huge spider fan, but I always have enjoyed watching the cat spiders. When I was little they always had webs on my grandma's house, she had wooden shake siding, we would catch ants and feed them, I remember watching them roll them up.
The EWWWWW caught my eye - I've never heard of this spider! Really neat. I like how you've separated the photos with the two colours. Neat idea!
OMG!!! I'm freaked out and it's just on my computer. There is no way I'd EVER go back outside if I saw this in my yard! LOL
But your page is great - love the doily on the side with the cluster and the photos are amazing even if they are icky :)!
