I'm a freelance editor, writer and photographer. I picked up cardmaking as an art hobby more than 25 years ago. That led to scrapbooking, but really took off when digital scrapbooking software started popping up on the market. It dovetailed well with my career and has sparked an interest in developing skills as a graphic designer. You all are so talented; you inspire me! I live in the beautiful state of Montana where I work from home and volunteer for a local non-profit called the Dylan Steigers Concussion Project. Besides a passion for photography, I love sports, flyfishing, cardmaking, gardening, and walking my favorite beagle. My goal is to become better at making digital content rather than using what others have created so I can give back to this wonderful community of scrapbookers.
How many of us really remember some of the awesome speeches we've heard at graduations or other events? This was a page that had a lot of journaling--it was important for me to put in the keynote speaker's main points from my niece's graduation for her book because he had an awesome message about the difference one person can make in the world, whether it be a small community, one person's life, or the world as a whole. This is layout # 7/12 in the Jan 2014 Layout challenge #15 prompt-journal focus. This is part of a 2-page spread-the other page has photos of the students listening and interacting with him.
