I'm a freelance editor, writer and photographer. I picked up cardmaking as an art hobby more than 25 years ago. That led to scrapbooking, but really took off when digital scrapbooking software started popping up on the market. It dovetailed well with my career and has sparked an interest in developing skills as a graphic designer. You all are so talented; you inspire me! I live in the beautiful state of Montana where I work from home and volunteer for a local non-profit called the Dylan Steigers Concussion Project. Besides a passion for photography, I love sports, flyfishing, cardmaking, gardening, and walking my favorite beagle. My goal is to become better at making digital content rather than using what others have created so I can give back to this wonderful community of scrapbookers.
For the challenge scraplifttemplate dec 2013, I used all the elements provided in Marisa's layout template but moved them around and duplicated the border to create a "spirograph"-like embellishment to mimic a fishing net. That was fun b/c I learned a new technique (to me) in assigning degrees of rotation to the layers to achieve the pattern. This challenge also made me look at using various elements of templates to make it my own. Fishing tales graffiti and nature's beauty alpha by Karen Diamond Designs.
