About Me
I'm a freelance editor, writer and photographer. I picked up cardmaking as an art hobby more than 25 years ago. That led to scrapbooking, but really took off when digital scrapbooking software started popping up on the market. Thanks to PixelScrapper, I have honed my design skills and do some small design jobs for hire, along with my regular editing and writing. I live in the beautiful state of Montana where I work from home and volunteer for a local non-profit called the Dylan Steigers Concussion Project. I also teach water aerobics at our local Women's Club. (Otherwise, I might sit on the couch all day designing!). Besides a passion for photography, I love sports, flyfishing, cardmaking, gardening, and walking. My goal is to try to learn a new technique or enhance existing ones every month so I can give back to this wonderful community of scrapbookers through the PS blog trains.

Digital Scrapbook LayoutDescription
This squirrel decimated my favorite lounge pants while on vacation. It was cold and rainy, and I had laid them out to dry. They were already full of holes by the time I took these photos (and video) of it, so by this time it was purely for entertainment--correct that, I was not in the least entertained--scrapping value. Kit used was Sheila Reid's Li'l Monster (appropriately) and the page is a scraplift flash challenge for September 2014 lifting from this layout by Tiffany Johnstone: https://www.digitalscrapbook.com/tiffany-johnstone/gallery/fall-into-fun-layout-leaves-boys-white-gold-orange-blue.

LOL!!! this is hysterical!! i laughed so hard at this! the layout is lovely and really compliments the photos! awesome page!!
OMG Caileigh, that is hilarious! Yes, a chipmunk on a sugar high could be quite the comical scene!
That is wonderful! I'm an avid camper so I can totally relate. When I was packing to go home this year a chipmunk ate an entire half-pound of fudge. They're quick animals to begin with - imagine one on a sugar high! He kept darting in and out of our mini-van - it's a miracle we didn't take him home with us!
I think the pockets were full of nuts.
I LOVE the LO!
That's hysterical, Julie!!! :D
How could I not love this, it's funny and out of the box.
Funny!! I'm sure if they were my pants I wouldn't be laughing!! Great layout Julie.
What a cute title! Those squirrels- they will chew anything. Great moment to capture.
haha funny title! And you even have a picture of the squirrel!! :)
Your description is so funny, made me LOL
I know Julie I grew up in Lovell WYO as you may know it sits right at the base of the Big Horns, I miss them. I actually live closer to the mountains here in UT then I did in Wyo but they are not the Big Horns! I think one of the first layouts I did here on DigitalScrapbook.com I used a picture of them as the background page
Yes Linda. We go there once or twice a year. My husband grew up in that county hunting and fishing those mountains. They are incredible mountains--I've really grown to love them more than the ones in western Montana. You see more wildlife there than in Yellowstone or Teton national parks, too. :-)
Julie you were in the BIG HORNS??!! I love the Big Horns! I love the page too what a great way to smile about something!
HAHAHA the title is wonderful! I really like the colors you used and your take on the layout is great.
Great story and great page!
Lolol. Sorry this is really funny. Great layout!
