About Me
I'm a freelance editor, writer and photographer. I picked up cardmaking as an art hobby more than 25 years ago. That led to scrapbooking, but really took off when digital scrapbooking software started popping up on the market. Thanks to PixelScrapper, I have honed my design skills and do some small design jobs for hire, along with my regular editing and writing. I live in the beautiful state of Montana where I work from home and volunteer for a local non-profit called the Dylan Steigers Concussion Project. I also teach water aerobics at our local Women's Club. (Otherwise, I might sit on the couch all day designing!). Besides a passion for photography, I love sports, flyfishing, cardmaking, gardening, and walking. My goal is to try to learn a new technique or enhance existing ones every month so I can give back to this wonderful community of scrapbookers through the PS blog trains.

Digital Scrapbook LayoutDescription
Inspiration for this page came from a few things...because...snow days rock more for some than others, eh? Such as: 1) My friends and family in Ohio are buried in snow and sub-zero temps, while here in Montana we are praying for snowpack in the mountains to get us through the summer without raging wildfires. 2) I just read a blog from a childhood friend about snow days, and how it was always fun as a kid, but now that we're moms, they're not quite as fun as we remembered them to be, and 3) I took photos of our Christmas decorations this year partly because I wanted to document them, and partly because I got a new camera lens for Christmas and was testing it out. My snowman & woman were perfect for this layout. So... I made a page that incorporated my family and friends' misery with the cold and snow and a photo of one of my long-time Christmas decos given to me by a friend probably 25 years ago. I used elements from Andene Sailors Winter Wonderland kit from the Dec. 2013 blog train. Snowflake in the title text is from the WW blog train kit by Cajundivascraps. Font is called snowcaps and was downloaded from the internet. Photo can also be pulled out and used as a FB banner photo. If anyone wants to use it, message me and I'll send it. :-0)
