My mom and her sister were always together, even though they were so different. Mom was more serious than Janet, and Janet more apt to crack a joke. Mom was good at facilitating and being there for others, and Janet more spontaneous. When they decided to do something together, or banded together on a project, they were unstoppable! I was fortunate to have both of them in my life. Although Mom is gone now, I still feel her presence when I get together with my aunt. These pictures were all ones that our family shared in a slideshow after my mom's memorial service, and are good reminders of the happy times that these sisters shared over the decades. Some of the pictures, I don't know much about, but I've captioned what I know.
Captions: (1) Janet, Bill, & Stevie rowing a boat during their time in Europe, 1961-1963, (2) Stevie holding Janet for the first time, Minneapolis, MN, Spring 1950, (3) Stevie, Bill, Clare, Ted, & Janet, Lake Kachess, WA, July 1996, (4) Stevie & Janet in the midst of a giggle fest, approx. 1953, (5) Stevie, Janet, & Danny, Edmonds, WA, 1979, (6) Stevie was the matron of honor for Janet when she got married, (7) Mike, Stevie, Janet, & Dave at Mike & Stevie’s wedding.
