About Me
Hi there, I am Kim! For some years now, I have been an avid crafter, ANY type of crafting! I have been knitting and crocheting since I was quite young, and as I got older got interested in more hand crafts.
I kinda took a forced break for some years, but about 5 or 6 years ago, I really started getting back into crafting. It started off with me making Christmas cards to friends and family ... It has just grown from there!
My 2 big passions are paper crafting and beading, especially bead embroidery.
Due to on-going health issues, I had to give up my job and it has been my crafting that has kept me sane! Being at home with many hours to craft has honed a lot of my skills and kept me busy.
I have recently decided to combine my love of paper crafting and my love of technology and started digital scrap booking. I am still quite new to it, and although I have learned loads, there is so very much more for me to learn, and I am loving every step of it!
I was born in South Africa, and my family moved to Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) when I was a baby. I spent a wonderful childhood growing up "in the bush". When I was 12 my family moved back to South Africa. I lived there until 1999, when I had an opportunity to move to Ireland ... and here I have been ever since!
I have a wonderful son, who is now 23 and is going to make me a Nana in September! I am so excited about that! I am married to a wonderful, supportive, loving man who is my best friend as well as my husband.
When I can pull myself away from my craft room, I love to read and you will usually find my Kindle not far away from anywhere I am. I still do a lot of knitting and crocheting, specially in the evenings when I am sitting watching the telly - I am one of those people that always has to be doing something with my hands!
