About Me
Hi there! I'm a teacher. I try to find as much time as I can to edit photos and make digital scrapbook albums. I'll admit it: I'm addicted. Holidays with my husband are my favorite subjects. I also spend lots of time managing my stash of digital papers, templates, png's etc. It's turning into a hobby in itself. Does anyone else suffer from this same tic? :)
I love browsing on PixelScrapper. Especially the stories behind photos or layouts are of interest to me.
Description
The cover of an album containing pics of our 4 week holiday in the US this summer. One of four albums, because we took over 4000 pictures between us! Plus it gives me four shots at covers. This one is a scrap lift from http://www.kellypurkey.typepad.com . She got the idea from http://www.pinterest.com/source/nettiodesigns.com They even provide the states as cutouts, which saves a lot of time.

Thanks, Teddy!
Just happened to come across this one, and this is such a great page. Now I have the wheels turning on how I can make something like this work for some of our travels . . .
Thanks for the freebie Lilian. I'm sure I will make use of this one eventually. :)
What a wonderful title page for your album! I love everything about it!
@Judy, try the nettiodesigns link or the Kelly Purkey one, maybe it's there. Or you won't need it anymore because it's simple enough once you've got the cutout states!
What a great travel page Lilian! I saw a tutorial on this exact type of layout but can't remember where. Yeah, I'm bad like that and not bookmarking. Kudos to this one.
^^ awesome! I just know if I ordered a print I would be sad if I saw something like that when I got it ^^ That makes sense that because those aren't places you when that they don't really stay with you.
I think it worked, all is well with Colorado :)
@ Kaleena Farmer, I tried to edit the picture showing the state of Colorado, but he keeps showing the wrong one.
Ooops! The only excuse I can think of is that they're the ones we didn't visit, so their names have no real meaning for me. Thankfully the album hasn't been ordered yet, so I can still change it, thanks!
I love this! The colors are great and the way you stuck the text on is fun.
Are you aware that you wrote Montana on Colorado though? Montana is actually the one above Wyoming where you have part of your title. ^^
What a great idea! I love the map.
You sure know how to make an eye catcher of a layout! The different states and photos made me think of stamps~
Very creative. Great travel page of all the places you love and have been too. Never thought of doing it that way. Quite clever. :)
Thanks for your kind comments, girls , and you're welcome!
Wow - this is great!! Perfect for a cover - or even for an 'introductory page' in an annual album - I love it!! Thank you for the link for template info!
I love this! We love to travel in the west too.
