About Me
Empty nester who's hatchlings have not gone very far from the nest - One little bird lives right next door, and the other two are nearby. I'm a digi-scrap kit designer since 2004. An obsessive crafter since childhood, I had scrapped traditionally but I began my genealogical research in the early 80's and had been gathering ancestor photos as I discovered them. By that time personal computers were getting popular and I found some software for organizing the research. This was before Windows and the handy computer mouse. I believe the software was the very first Family Tree Maker. I still have it but it is packed away and I use much more current software now [thankfully]. Wanting to restore some of the photos I had collected, I checked into graphic programs and purchased Photoshop Elements 5. One of the inserts in the box was for a website that was for digital scrapbooking. WoW! A bonus! I didn't know digital scrapbooking existed. I had tried something back then - photocopying pictures and then cutting images from newspapers, magazines, etc. When I discovered what I could do with PSE5, it seemed like I'd died and gone to techie/crafter heaven. I've never looked back and was asked to become a designer after I started creating my own elements and papers for my layouts. I have been doing it for over ten years. Another thing that I enjoy is gardening but it is hard to do some of the things that I did before being disabled so if it requires lifting, I ask one of the "kids" to do it. LOL. I have a pack of dogs that are my best buddies and my three toddler grandchildren. I have never taken a selfie, nor have I ever posed with "duck lips" but I guess with the babies, I'll be making duck lips soon, but for their amusement only.
