About Me
Mum to a young adult, a teenager, a black lab & 5 siameses... Love reading, music, cooking, traveling, the outdoors, landscape photography & my hubby of 23 years.
I ventured into digiscrapping at the recommendation of a friend overseas a few years ago. I had always thought about [paper] scrapbooking, but lack of storage space kept me from doing it. Needless to say, digiscrapping was the perfect solution for me. I purchased a copy of Paint Shop Pro & began looking for a friendly digiscrap community to participate in. DigitalScrapbook.com has been a good fit - the girls are helpful, supportive, kind & generous with one another, which I truly appreciate...

Digital Scrapbook LayoutDescription
This is my week 2 submission for the Gotta Pixel Master Scrapper Challenge... This week's supplies were provided by: Kathryn Estry & Aprilisa Designs
About my layout.... The picture is of my eldest, Seth (who is also a member here - a very inactive one). He graduated this past spring. No, I did not use a template - the PSP classes I've been taking the past year & a half have increased my skills (on how to use PSP, not digiscrap), and I have a very good mentor at my disposal for questions (she's an artist, not a digiscrapper). The rules we had this week were to create a layout using 8 different papers & 10 different elements from the mystery box we were provided with. When I read that the first thing that popped into my brain was "quilting" (I love quilts). That, and one of my Hawk Nelson cd's, provided the inspiration for this layout. I wish there had been stitches in the box, as then I could've made the layout look truly "quilted" (as I would have stitched within each of the small paper shapes). But it still looks pretty good I think - just a bit "stickerish."
As usual - any helpful feedback is welcomed. Your comments help me to become a better digiscrapper.
