About Me
Hello! My name is Lorien and I am a thirty-something years-old from São Paulo, Brazil, married for almost a decade, and proud kitten mom.
I got in contact with DigitalScrapbook.com before it was the amazing site you´re seeing, when I was looking for some assets for hybrid scrapbooking. I enjoyed it so much that I´m on this site since the closed beta. I was a beginner back then and I learned a lot here, and soon became forum moderator as a way to give a little back. It was because of DigitalScrapbook.com that I started designing too. It prooved a really useful skill for my small craft business.

Digital Scrapbook LayoutDescription
This layout was making for the second telephone challenge and it was GREAT fun to make - but there were some fun things on the process. The layout Marisa choose for us to lift was this one, and I was the first on the group I fell in. Guess who was the second in line? The original layout designer, Tiffany! Then, I got determined to try deceiving my mate in a way she didn´t know she was scraplifting herself. The first thing I did was working only with three photos with the biggest in the middle, make the vertical paper strips smaller, and put an extra paper on the background - but still using no solids as she did in the original.
When I finished, I could still see her layout on mine - so I deceided that I´d need to take another step to deceive her: I took of the title (it will be in the next page of the photobook with the fourth photo) that was exactly her own, added journal in Portuguese to make a bit difficult to know what I was talking about, and deceided to blend my three photos together! I used the technique Melo posted on this topic some days before the day I made this layout, trying to make her think that the first layout was Melo´s one, that she put here in the gallery. Using the technique wasn´t easy, because each of the pictures was taken from a different angle, and, although it didn´t look perfect, it looks so far so good for me. All the three clusters indicates places where there are wholes in the mounting of the pic because the smaller pics end there.
Then, some days later I realised that this layout had lots of things in common with the layout I made for the first telephone challenge. Tiffany was the one to lift my layout that time too, but the ressemblance of the pictures and of the layouts was really a coincidence, as I really didn´t remembered which layout I made for the last telephone. Then I thought "OMG, Tiffany will think I only have this wall to take pics of cats at, and my cats stay there day and night, the poor things". And it´s far for being the place I take pics of my cats the most...
You can laugh now I laughed a lot in this process
Oh, I mostly used stuff from Marisa´s kit Malaysia, but I may be used some bits and pieces from other kits. Sorry for not have tracked them well...

LOVE the story behind the page. I did have some of those thoughts, but you did a great job fooling me! I had no idea of the starting page until I saw it today. This was all great fun once again!
