About Me
Hello! My name is Lorien and I am a thirty-something years-old from São Paulo, Brazil, married for almost a decade, and proud kitten mom.
I got in contact with DigitalScrapbook.com before it was the amazing site you´re seeing, when I was looking for some assets for hybrid scrapbooking. I enjoyed it so much that I´m on this site since the closed beta. I was a beginner back then and I learned a lot here, and soon became forum moderator as a way to give a little back. It was because of DigitalScrapbook.com that I started designing too. It prooved a really useful skill for my small craft business.

Thank you so much Sarah *heart*
Oh, no, not boring at all! I firmly believe that photos (& journalling/captions) are the most important part of any page & should be front & center (aka most visible) - & yours is perfect (at least *I* think so =D). When I scrap, I always think about what someone years from now will want to see in a scrapbook - is it photos & stories about their childhood or their grandparents' lives or whatever or is it spectacular layouts with lots of elements - & I come down heavily on the side of photos & stories. I know what you mean about worrying about being boring or plain - I sometimes see absolutely gorgeous layouts & wish I'd done it - but I always return to photos with very little embellishment because that's what is most important to me. So, I say go with what *you* most want to showcase because in the long run that will be most important to you & yours. And if you want to get fancy once in a while, that's fun, too!
PS I'm geek/nerdy, too!
Your coment just put a big smile on my face Sarah! I have been scrapping more and more layouts like this - blocked photos with tiny elements around, and blocked journal to tell the story of the pages - and I was wondering if my pages are getting boring...
What a lovely layout! I love that the photos are the focus (I'm a very photo oriented scrapper) but that you've got some "pretty" in there, too. Really great job. And this looks like a gorgeous place to visit!
