About Me
Hi There! I’m Marisa Lerin and you’ll see me around at DigitalScrapbook.com a lot. I started this site in 2010 soon after I discovered a new love in digital scrapbooking. DigitalScrapbook.com has gone through some significant changes since that time and it’s grown into this lovely community site you are seeing now. I am daily surprised by the turn of life’s events that has led me down this path. If you're new to the site, welcome! Here are a few tidbits about me that I hope will help you get to know me better!
I’m originally from Minnesota, USA, but spent a good chunk of my childhood living abroad (in Bolivia and Hong Kong). I returned to Minnesota to attend university, got married and then moved overseas again (Korea, then Jordan and 1 year of traveling). My designs are heavily influenced by these many nomadic years. I am currently back in the USA, now living in the great state of Oregon!
I have no official training for what I’m doing, since I decided very wisely (haha) to study physics in university. I am always learning new things about digital scrapbooking, and this community has been immensely helpful for that!
If I manage to stop digital scrapbooking you will probably find me watching TV, reading or baking. I also enjoy writing for the blog here at DigitalScrapbook.com where I talk about whatever happens to be catching my fancy at the moment.
Description
Journaling:
1. It's a new year. A new morning. New possibilities. 2. So many sunny days. It's been cold, but so beautifully sunny. 3. The birds flying on the air currents over the ocean. They look so serene. 4. Quiet morning time to prepare for the day. 5. This morning when I opened the curtain, the sky was tinted pink and baby blue. And the moon was huge on the horizon. A few minutes later it was all gone. 6. Warm fire to sit by, with wine while journaling. 7. The ability to walk, far and easily. 7. Venus, shining brightly in the just dark sky. 8. Waking in the dark, seeing all the boats on the horizon like fallen stars sitting. 9. Dreaming about a feast and then making it. 10. Quiet and space to let so many ideas breathe. 11. The trees. So tall and thin, making layers in the distance. 12. Sunny, wonderful Saturdays. 13. Tea picnics! As good as imagined. 14. A few new purchases, the ability to celebrate myself. 15. So much time for reading. 16. Cookies. 17. I love that photo I took yesterday of all the pink things on my desk. I can see it in the little thumbnail. So cheery! 18. The most perfect weather. The sun shining through the mist. Windows rolled down. 19. So many books to read. So many things to think about. 20. The start to a new week, everything fresh and exciting. 21. Graceful seals turning and spinning just because they can. 22. Goofy sea otters enthused about their meal. 23. Time to prepare a delicious dinner. 24. Doing exactly what I love. How blessed am I? 25. Time to think and write and take notes. 26. The cracking of the fire, the flicker of the candles. 27. Fun side pony and fancy hair bow. 28. Warm, crusty bread and spicy soup. 29. Hard working comes together in a fun and new way (working on Video Game Valentine Bundle). 30. Inspiring reading and studying time (The Accidental Creative). 31. The gift of being able to do exactly what I love best. While reading he asked the hypothetical question, "if you could do anything what would you do?" And I thought, just what I'm doing now. 32. Looking forward to tomorrow, just a creating day. Relaxing evening, and then wake up to creating fun.
