Journaling: The day after Santorini & Mykonos we had a day at sea – a good chance for an afternoon nap! Latish in the afternoon there was a knock on the cabin door & there was a cabin steward with a silver tray holding a chilled bottle of champagne & chocolate dipped strawberries. We insistently tried to tell him “Not for us” (worrying about € € €!!) and he just as insistently assured us he had not made an error….

We finally accepted it & on opening the attached envelope we found a note, thanking me for my feedback regarding our cruise experience – I can only assume it was in response to my comment on their Facebook Page asking why they, as many cruise lines are doing, M.S.C. were not warning passengers not to use the Santorini donkeys due to the horrific animal abuse involved.

We then tucked into our surprise treat, Ray kindly “peeling” the strawberries for me
