I am from Tokyo, Japan. Just a beginner of photo collage and scrapbooking, who is enjoying and learning a lot from your every ideas. Thank you all!
I am a GIMP-user and enjoy learning and finding new way of expression on it.
With photos of the full-moon and cloud, I planned to add an old Japanese poetry to the layout, and use a style of 'soshoku-ryoshi', or decorative washi.
I also tried to add the poetry in traditional brush calligraphy.......But I could not find enough space for it.
I like this short poetry with a hint of humor.
If any of you might be interested in Japanese traditional pattern or graphics, I think 'Wargo-Pattern' is worth having a look at.
All the freebies there are completely free PU/CU, and they added some English guides.
This time I used 'kumo-seigaiha', or wavy cloud pattern from the site.
Translation of the poetry quoted from: Helen Craig McCullough, Kokin Wakashu, The First Imperial Antholoy of Japanese Poetry, Stanford Univ. Press, Stanford California, 1985.
