About Me
thirty something years old and still don't know what i wanna be when i grow up. but i do know what i love. good food, crafting pretty things, hiking and my cat. taking pictures of it all and scrapping about it later. playing with paper, yarn and photoshop. hanging out on PS, my cyber home.

have any of you taken interest about your towns history? i'm only learing about my town now. it's quite funny seeing how some customs changed over the course of a century and others are exactly the same.
made with marisa lerin "a mug and a book" kit
fearly simple layout, yet has a couple features i could mention:
- typing your text into a shape ... very fun stuff, very easy! with a pen tool, create an amorph shape mimicking the shape of marisas brush (with fill and stroke set to transparent), place the text tool inside the shape and just start typing
- title faux punch-out effect - i didn't exactly crop the black paper out. just typed the title above the paper in white (same color as background) and added an inner shadow to the text. because my title is larger than the paper (i love those overspills) i had to get rid of the excess. so i turned the text shadow into a separate layer, selected the paper, inversed the selection and created a clipping mask on the text shadow layer.
...and yes, yes, i know...as i type this...i now realize it probably would've been simpler to just crop the damn paper... lol
