"a white wall is like an empty canvas"
and i think it's gonna stay that way.
at least for a while.
it'll be a welcome change!
finally made a square 8,5x11' spread and i gotta tell you, it's such a cool change after years of that classic 12x12'.
i might just stick to this size.
at least for a while
used bits & pieces form my previous freebies Animalisms & ConstantChange (they're on the blog if you want 'em)
/edit/ don't you just love spotting a spelling error on a finished layout...grrr...

:) you're funny, Carole!
What a fun fresh layout, Paddy. I love it. We have white walls in the main living area of our home and are so happy with them. They look fresh and clean and you can use any color or style with them. Not that I'm lazy...just old. LOL
ha ha ha Sarah- i'm telling you, we need that EDIT button here in the comments ASAP! :D
no, really, thanks for your impressions - you're absolutely more than welcome to snag any idea from me (not like i invented the square card system :D ), that's the whole point of these cyber galleries!
yeah, the room is coming together but not without complications + i'm still fantasizing of a trip to IKEA & setting my tiny multipurpose room up as an art studio (fun!) rather than a classic bedroom (boooring!) which makes things a bit trickier :)
Grrr - make that completely RELATE without the 'd'.
BTW - I completely related to the renovation related delight & havoc. We spent the summer redoing our bedroom, which had had nothing done to it since we moved in 15 years ago. We're not quite done yet but it is so fabulous now that I don't want to use any other rooms! I hope your renovation is as successful & feeds your soul as much as ours has.
I love this layout - the squares on the 8.5x11 look amazing! I do my actual scrapbooks (physical ones, not digi) in 12x12 but I've been doing all my thinking ones (like One Little Word etc) in 8.5x11. I'm definitely borrowing this idea (& using your page as a template, if that's ok). Thank you so much for the visual loveliness & for the great idea!
yes, i can relate, Paddy! :-) and another wonderful layout, i must say! hope your new furniture has arrived and that you're not sleeping on the floor.
thanks ladies! yup, new floors are being laid as we speak so that's exciting! furniture will take longer to complete but that's ok - i'll just sleep on my brand new floors :D
and just between you and me - i'd rather be spending my money on a new laptop than closets. can anyone relate? :D
Love the different format and all the squares! Hope the renovations are going well.
fantastic!!
glad you guys like the squares, too - they just make everything cuter ;) and Lilian, yeah i'll be happy to show you the "after" one day, too! the "before" was too horrid for public display, so these here are just the "currents" i guess :D
I really like the square vs. the traditional rectangle pocket pages! Great layout
I really like the squares. Better to notice now rather than after you print (if you print).
Funny as ever, Paddy! Are you going to show us how the room turned out in your next LO?
